I just found out that my wife went to church with her bull on Sunday. She was visiting him in the city where he lives, about 2 hours away from us. It turns out, that one of the other reasons he wanted her to go, is that there are some women at church who think he is all alone without a girlfriend or wife, and they are often trying to fix him up. He wanted them to see him with a girlfriend.

They went out for brunch with some people from church afterward. She said, that when she went to the ladies room, a couple of the women from church went with her. They asked her some questions about how long they had been dating, and tried to figure out how serious it was.

It seems weird to me, that they went to church together. It wasn't something I ever imagined happening. She goes there to visit him every so often, and now I'm wondering if going to church with him will become part of their weekend together. I don't know why I feel so strange about it.

Okay, I am thinking through more of my feelings about her going to church with him. And I'm thinking that some of it is confusion over finding something a little titillating about it.

My wife and I have never been religious people and have never attended church. Both of us were sent to church and Sunday school when we were little, but both gave up on religion later.
So I started thinking through some possible scenarios when I heard my wife had gone to church with her boyfriend. What would it be like for me, if he talks her into being baptized in his church? What would it be like for me if she comes home and announces that she has become a Christian? What if she announces that she intends to begin weekly church attendance, either at a church in our town, or staying with him each weekend, to attend his church on Sunday morning? I wonder how I would feel if she seriously got into reading the bible, or if he got her to join a Bible study group through his church?
The thought of any of this, gives me a different kind of that feeling of losing power and control in my marriage, like the power and control I've already lost in her scene a boyfriend, but different because it isn't about sex.

I understand where you are coming from. Keep talking to your wife and make sure she shows you everything, like text, pictures, and tells you about the sex. I hate church, but my wife loves it. I think you have accurately described what has happened between them. I just wasn't quite prepared for this. I thought she would just enjoy sex with him. To hear that he bought her a dress and shoes, to attend the Sunday service at his church, just caught me off guard. She's never been religious and never cared to go to church. That has been the way we both felt. Neither of us have been to church since we were kids, except for attending weddings and memorial services.
