Ok guys,, is cumming necessary?

Unread post by Mustang1 » Sun Nov 02, 2025 6:35 am

Ok. Medical question…. The guys who don’t empty sperm,,,, is it medically necessary? Does holding in sperm present and negative side effects? Prostate issues? Testicular cancer or other serious diseases? Someone told me they thought it was good to empty the sperm regularly (?). I’m no doctor… and I’ve never heard anything from the medical profession

I had a prostate infection in my early 30's. My urologist at the time told me it was healthy to ejaculate regularly. I don't think lack of ejaculating would lead to testicular cancer, but it's like any organ. It needs to be used to stay healthy. And, no, I'm not a doctor, but I have always trusted the advice I received years ago.

I'm a lawyer, not a doctor, but it's my understanding that men who ejaculate on a regular basis have a lowered risk for prostate cancer than men who do not. So, although i don't masturbate as much as I did when I was [much] younger, I'm still trying to ejaculate several times a week.

I went for a little over 3 years only cumming twice, startming in July. 2015. It was fun because of my Mistress was very knowledgeable and never letme get bored. I'm still not having any issues, and I'm on track for only 3 orgasms for all of 2025, down from 17 for all of 2024.

Here's the relevant quote from UpToDate re prostate cancer risk, the only risk of non-ejaculation I'm aware of as a physician who practices chastity.

Ejaculatory frequency — An association between ejaculatory frequency and a lower risk of prostate cancer has been suggested in two case-control studies:
●In a study that compared males under the age of 70 who had prostate cancer with age-matched controls, males who had five or more ejaculations per week while in their 20s (but not their 30s or 40s) had a significantly lower risk of prostate cancer (odds ratio 0.66) than those who had fewer ejaculations [164].
●A report from the Health Professionals Follow-Up Study of over 3000 patients compared males who developed prostate cancer with controls of a similar age group who had similar ejaculatory frequency but no prostate cancer [165]. On multivariable analysis, the incidence of prostate cancer was significantly reduced for males having more than 21 ejaculations per month compared with those with 4 to 7 ejaculations per month between ages 20 and 29 years (HR 0.81, 95% CI 0.72-0.92). The HR for those reporting more than 21 versus 4 to 7 ejaculations per month between ages 40 and 49 years was 0.78 (95% CI 0.69-0.89).
The validity of this relationship has been called into question because of the lack of association of prostate cancer with ejaculation frequency in older males and the fact that other studies have failed to show a protective effect from being married or having more sexual partners [166]. Moreover, the problem of recall bias also casts doubt on the interpretation of studies that use this methodology.

I certainly appreciate the information; but I think just in the interests of 'better safe than sorry', I'm going to try to maintain an ejaculation frequency of several times per week. [my drive has certainly lessened from years ago- up until my late 50's - and I'm 63 soon- I had to ejaculate every day [from my late teens] just to relieve sexual tension] I don't have anywhere near that same drive at this point, but I'd prefer to be safe than sorry. And I do enjoy ejaculating anyway....LOL

I'm not a physician but I have very close family members and many friends who are. I appreciate your summary of the existing research and it's limitations.

My own anecdotal sense is that most physiciansin specialties other than urology have no strong opinion on this and related issues, and have a typical response to things outside their own specialties somewhere between "not my area, never really thought about it" and "limited research that would support evidence based approach". On top of this, perhaps overriding this would be a "non-shaming" or "not reinforcing general worries". So if you are a nephrologist and your patient expresses concern that he isn't sexually active or you are a dermatologist whose patient feels guilty because she doesn't want to have sex with her husband as much as he wants, your primary response is to not make them feel shamed or anxious.

However any urologist I have ever heard opine on the subject has had an opinion in favour of regular ejaculation. Sometimes suggesting daily.

There is a gap in evidence based medicine concerning things that do not yet, and may never have, a body of quality research to support specific therapies or guidelines. And sometimes a conflation between lack of persuasive evidence and existence of. negative evidence. I think prudence regarding quack therapies or anecdotal beliefs makes this a stronger effect. But it can be a general impediment to considering plausible approaches.

Thoughts?

I think you're on the money. I practice chastity because I enjoy it, and it heats up my sex life with my wife big time. I'm not actually all that concerned about the health effects to myself. I also eat poorly lol. I just wanted to share the readily available science on the topic. I certainly don't claim expertise. I'm not a urologist!

Ok. Thanks for the insight. Was not implying cancer. Just any side effects of not getting rid of the sperm. I know my balls seem bigger(?) or hurt if not drained. The body produces it so I was just wondering how or what happens to it if not evacuated. Like I said this is a non talked about thing

One thing my Mistress did was have me research how often your body will get rid of old semen. It turns out that you will have a "wet dream" at about 65 days since your last ejaculation. My Mistress already knew when I was going to have a wet dream, and was testing me to see if I would admit cumming in my chastity device. I had my cum at 62 days while wearing my cage, right on time.
