This guy is smoooooth. Getting someone to do you a favor is commonly known bonding trick.

Manipulative SOB. He could have called a cab, no doubt! Or called a co-worker, or even JH.

I'm still voting for unemployed eunuch, especially in light of recent events.

This guy is very manipulative. From my experience, manipulative people want everything but when they get it, they don't value it. They also don't do loyalty! :(

I suggest, Jane and JH, that you both read a book on Assertiveness Skills... quick!

Sincere good wishes,

9 ways bringing someone from the office into the lifestyle can end.

10 of them are bad.

I guess it's own up time. If you DON'T want this to happen, you need to read "When I say 'No', I feel Guilty" by Manuel J. Smith. It's the perfect manual for dealing with manipulators.

If you DO want this to happen... just carry on! :whip:

Best wishes whatever,

He is not a manipulator, he is just a guy who is attracted to Jane and feels that it might be mutual. Unlike a lot of whimps, he is going to chase Jane until he gets a definite "no" not a "probably no". I don't think he will get a definite no so the chase continues. Like most women, Jane is enjoying the chase and finds the situation "sexy".

Yes, but it can also easily be construed as a total lack of respect for her husband.

I don't think the future course is completely determined - too many open future contingencies for that.

But, on the other hand, it has taken on the appearance of a dance for three, with classic, well-understood choreography, and well-rehearsed, competent, experienced dancers.

Pass the popcorn and let's all hope the reportage continues!! :whip:

Whatever happens with this new guy I hope it works out well. Part of me wants him and Jane to hook up. A different part of me wants JH to be the only witness to a tragic workplace accident where trainee is removed from the picture permanently.

In summation, best of luck to both of you.

Neither Jane nor JH have ever been into comprehensive full disclosure so we are left to speculation. JH was bothered by the bareback incident with Deron(?) and you could construe the same thing here and with other encounters also. But as others have stated, JH also gets off on this "out of control" feeling as well. I don't think Jane would do anything to really hurt JH or risk his job etc.. I just am not convinced that this particular senario would in fact do that and neither is JH or Jane IMO. Is the future determined, I still think yes, but as always, I could be wrong.

Yes, you are absolutely right. We are just speculating.

My perspective is all about encouraging and celebrating our hotwives. Carpe diem and all that. OTOH, if I saw someone standing on the edge of a slippery and dangerous cliff, I'd rather be the cautious person, calling "please be careful out there, it doesn't look safe," rather than saying "why don't you jump up and down and dance a little, because you'll survive the fall and maybe even learn to fly."

Best wishes J and JH. If I've misinterpreted the game, I apologize.

Here's wishing you a good hot date tomorrow afternoon, not only because good sex is always good for a person, but also, hopefully, to clarify things after the recent complications!!   *

*I give three thumbs up to signify the number of people who I hope really enjoy your date tomorrow - you, the lucky guy who gets to have you do him, and, of course, the good David. ;)

Being assertive; is that like giving a trainee a bad report? :D

You probably can't give him a bad review now, even if he's terrible.

This had occurred to me, too.

Interesting how much commentary and concern this little episode with the trainee stirred up. I'm almost sorry he's out of the picture!

It led to some interesting conversation in our household. Mustang twice weighed in on this thread her disdain for the guy; and she asked me what I would do in JH's position. And I had to admit ... if a younger, subordinate co-worker was pursuing my wife, and I told him to knock it off, and he said, "Tell you what ... I'll flip you for it," I would NOT have gone along with it.

But I have enough submissive cuckold tendencies to know that the suggestion would have aroused me and made me weak in the knees. A part of me would have wanted to go ahead and flip that coin ... and lose ...

I think Jane understands this about her hubby and pushes him beyond where he knows he wants to go.

As Maria pointed out in her equally intense thread this week, all of this is just a fun, satisfying game. But for that to be true, all three players (or dancers) need to see it as a game, which seems to be the case with Maria's Smooth Operator. It was not at all clear that the "smooth operator" in Jane and JH's life understood or cared that Jane and JH are playing a game.

Exactly! My concern was that the trainee either didn't understand the rules of the game, or care (see BB and 54321's comments about manipulators and "bonding")

Thanks for stating this so clearly, dear :)

I think JR is SPOT On.

That said, this thought occurred to me...
what if Mustang was training a younger, and hunky guy, and he came on to her ?

It's the workplace....but she REALLY likes him and his looks.
How would you guess she responds?

A trainee, for whom one is responsible for training and evaluating, or any direct subordinate for that matter, is a totally different situation than involving a workplace colleague or peer.

Your wife wants to sleep with some guy in another department and you like the idea and think the risk is minimal, that's fine.

Trainees & subordinates.... wouldn't go near it.
