He shouldn't be ok with it for practical reasons, even if he found it hot as you obviously do, which it seems he doesn't.

The trainee knows he got canned because of JH's bad report, due to his continuing to pursue JH's wife after JH told him not to. He's evidently quite pissed about it, which isn't surprising but is pretty clueless. If he made any friends at JH's company while he was there which being a cocky sort he likely did, he has plenty of incentive to try to retaliate by spreading the rumor through his friend(s) that he did in fact subsequently "bag" Jane. At many companies that would not do JH's future prospects and respect there a lot of good.
