I just came across this tremendous thread. Two questions:

1. It is very sweet and civilized of you to be concerned for Rob's love life - are there signs he is falling for you or that he is not exerting himself adequately in his search for a significant other?

It seems to me that a young man rebounding from a failed marriage relationship is not necessarily up to finding a new SO for quite a while. Indeed, is quite vulnerable to making all kinds of mistakes in that area. If I am right, then, you might well be providing him a safe way to answer his immediate needs without his having to expose himself while horny to the dangers of the meat markets. In fact this should go on, for his safety's sake, until he has, so-to-say, consolidated his resources of brain and heart enough to go forth.

In other words, it seems that maybe (unless he falls completely and desperately in love with you - which is also very understandable, but, even so, probably less dangerous than falling for some bimbo he meets in a bar) you could go ahead and fuck him all you want for quite a while yet with a completely clear conscience.

2. What do you think the new guy at the party who then came to dinner initially asked David about you?
