This brings back memories. After a meet-and-greet with Iris, for breakfast, we had a date for dinner, several weeks later

Took the kids to see the Avengers movie.

We always used to tell Kiddo that I was going out with friends. Now that we're openly poly, we tell him when I'm out with my boyfriend. But he never batted an eye at me going out with friends. I like the idea that we're modelling that it's okay to have our own separate friends and not do everything as a married couple. I think it's healthy.

Whether you are a vanilla couple or hotwife/swing, I firmly believe that having a separate aspect to the relationship is vital. We do separate vacations and she in particular socializes with friends of both sexes. Kids are grown and gone, but for younger couples it is good for kids to see that Mom and Dad trust each other.

Yesterday, Aaron, the man from the book store and i exchanged several emails. I found out he works nights, and he's a police officer. He asked if we might see each other some time, and i replied that i had to warn him that i am married. He said he knew i was, that he waited for my husband to walk away to talk to me. I asked him if he often chatted up married women. He said not that often, but he and his fiance broke up a short time ago, and he wasn't looking for a single girl, and a rebound relationship. Just something more casual. I feel super turned on and flustered. He was really cute, and muscular from what i could tell.

I was re-reading this thread and smiled at this. This guy's situation was EXACTLY like the guy who was my wife's first.
