Toms not feeling great, hes tested positive for Covid so we are both off of work and as you can imagine, Im busy looking after him.

Get him on a vitamin D and Zinc regimen and make sure he gets out and walks every day to keep his lungs clear. Keeping the lungs working good is the most important thing with this stuff!

As someone whose wife had a life threatening case of covid and who had it myself:

KEEP IT OUT OF HIS LUNGS.

We feel like Zinc nasal swabs were a big help. Vitamin D and C etc helped also.

Mucinex the strongest liquid stuff or Nyquil helps to Vick Mentholatum, same.

Listerene does NOT cure anything (but maybe a sore throat. What IT DOES: is break up the super thick bad mucus - so it can be spit out before it can get into the throat. Keep the crap out of you Bronchi and Lungs - and he will be fine.

A year and half later, my sense of smell and taste have not quite returned.

My wife walked out of the hospital. She said she felt like she would die if she stayed.

The next morning at a walk in clinic (actually we waited our turn in my pick up truck for their call to come in. Ten minutes later they had her in X - ray and it was in her lungs - confirmed she had pneumonia.

Turns out she lied to me about constantly gargling Listerene - she had quit because it tasted so bad (only the piss colored, awful stuff is so strong). Withing a few hours it had gone to her lungs.

Ten minutes after the Xray they had my wife shot full of steroid and on using a Nebulizer with prescribed medicene. Within 24 hours of that she was well on her way back. She had it about 3 weeks - me about 6 days.

Be careful and love and care for each other like crazy. There will be time for what we used to call the "Crazies". Late.

All that lust and NRE can be fun for you and drive Tom crazy with angst... Enjoy when the time comes to play again. And keep in perspective that it is an adventure you that is best when you indulge the fun and Tom's angst - but you are ultimately in it together.

I honestly think Jas, that you may actually get that - and that the love you two have built and shared for a decade. Always keep each other first - even when you are cucking Tom. In fact, I see that very much in your actions.

You really can sometimes push too hard in your excitement when you do this stuff. It's bad not to see that there is huge risk.

That's pretty profound stuff and all too true, experience should teach you lessons but it's whether you're a good or willing student that matters.

If you can get the MAB treatments or the pills, do it. But, it must be done within 5 days of the onset of symptoms. Track temp and 02 saturation- if 02 gets to low 90s and pulse is going up to 90s on a pulse/oxymeter, it's bad and you need a hospital right away. It can go from 'not so bad' to 'very bad' in a flash.

I didn't go to the hospital until I started coughing up blood. I had pneumonia and blood clots in both lungs. Don't wait. I tested negative twice, both PCR and antigen tests, but I still had it, and didn't know it until it suddenly went bad. It was 5 days after I started having chest pain before I went to the hospital. Four months later, my lungs are still screwed and my heart is damaged, both may be permanent injuries. I may have to have surgery to attempt to correct some of the heart issues.

This is not something to fuck around with, or rely on home remedies. Some people may turn out OK, many are left with long-term and/or permanent issues. Some others can get *really* fucked and there is no way to know who is going to get screwed and who won't. Get the best treatments available to you as soon as possible.

This is *not* 'just like a flu'. I've been there, and I know.

There's really no point making promises that might be broken or giving commitments you can't depend on, while dealing in half truths stores up suspicion and resentment later. It might seem very harsh right now on the other person in the relationship but keeping silent or delaying only stores up huge problems later. The old cliché honesty is the best policy has stood the test of time for a reason.. If you're really interested in seeing where it could go, then fibbing about your relationship status may be a bit of self-sabotage. If he finds out later that you're with Tom still and not on break then he may feel lied to or betrayed. It's also likely if he keeps not being able to visit you at your place, and similar situations happen, he'll put two and two together. Might be worth telling him sooner rather than later if you want to see the true potential of it.
